Rosemary Phillips, 85, of Scranton, died Monday in the VNA Hospice at Community Medical Center, Scranton. Her husband, Alfred “Al” Phillips died January 8, 2003.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Carmella Iagulli Zaccagnino and attended the Dunmore Public schools. Prior to retirement, she worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry.

Rosemary loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and attending their activities such as, football games, chorus concerts and swim meets. She also enjoyed shopping and going out for dinner with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving is a daughter, Maria Courtright and husband Bob, Scranton; a son, Tom Phillips and wife Donna, Bloomsburg; Six grandchildren and a great-grandson; Two sisters, Ginger Wiktor, Carbondale, Marie Brazen Kirschenheiter , Scranton, Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Alfred Phillips, Two brothers; Joseph and Emil Zaccagnino and one sister, Peggy Slovinski

The funeral will be Thursday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass at 9:30a.m. In St. Anthony’s Church, Smith St., Dunmore.

Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst

Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7p.m.
