Terrible news about Sal
Reply #13 on : Fri August 09, 2013, 15:37:11
I'm not a friend of the family or an old buddy, just a guy who saw Sal a couple of weekends a year when I accompanied a group of friends to the Summit.
Considered retiring up that way and wanted to know where and how Sal was doing so I started looking him up. That's when I got the bad news. He was such a good guy and so much fun, real class. He always remembered you too. After a while he was the only reason we'd visit the Summit. It's so depressing, what a loss. My sympathies to his family and friends.

Bessie, I only know you through your brothers. My husband Charlie, my children and so many of our friends, knew and loved them so much. My husband is dead 15 years already, but I still relive our life with Tony And SAl. All my memories are full of love and boy so much fun. I can't explain how I treasure the times we so enjoyed together. I had been with your Mom so many times. My Charlie loved them and her. He felt that he was loved & so much a part of your family. He considered himself a brother to them. I still make some recipes that they taught me. I think it was an aunts meat ravioli & veal calabrese. Sal couldn't believe I knew how to make pasta from scratch. He, they were always over our house eating;Tony always & Sal whenever he had the chance. So many times for 2 am breakfast. Recently I started thinking of Sal, feeling bad, knowing Tony was gone. I was so not myself after Charlie passed.I started thinking that maybe sometime when I visit friends in the poconos, maybe I'll go & see if Sal still had his house there, or just bump into him. Well two weeks ago I decided to stop thinking and do something about it, when word got to me that he too was gone. I know I'm rambling on here. I guess I just want to say ; Your brothers were more than friend to me, my children, my husband. I will always have my memories of love for them. I really am sorry I didn't and couldn't keep in touch all these years. I feel for you and their children. Tony, Sal your mom are always in my prayers. Joyce Cacciatore

I've known Sal since we were in grade school together at St. Anthony's. Later, we were both music teachers at Dunmore High School where Sal was always ready to help with a smile. Earlier this year, I was able to visit with Sal when he came to Las Vegas. We talked about our past experiences and I can clearly hear Sal's infectious laugh as we reminisced. His love of music positively influenced several generations of students. My deepest condolences to his family.

Sal was an important part of my children's lives. His teaching of music and the importance of it in life, has stayed with them and brought much pleasure to our lives as parents.
Please accept our prayers for comfort and strength on the loss of your brother, and all the Graci Family.
