Aaron H. Waldman, 95, formerly of Scranton, died Sunday in Midlothian, Virginia. He is survived by his beloved wife, the former Doris Freedman.
Born in Pittston, PA, son of the late Harry and Bertha Waldman, he was the owner of Waldman’s Women’s Wear in Pittston. He graduated from Wyoming Seminary and then Ohio Wesleyan University where he was Phi Beta Kappa. He was a member of the Pittston Rotary Club, Toastmasters International, and Temple Israel in Scranton.
Surviving are two daughters, Wendy Barker and husband Jeffrey, Armonk, New York, and Nancy Chaney and husband Benson, Chesterfield, VA; two grandchildren, Sara Robbin and Jordan Barker; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Chloe Robbin.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore with a service at 11:00 a.m. by Cantor Vladimir Aronzon.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment Temple Israel Cemetery, Dunmore.
