Dawn Nicole Foster Norton, 43, died Friday, January 18th at her home in Thorndale, PA.

Born in Scranton, daughter of Dr. William and Elaine Lawrence Foster of Coral Gables, FL, she was a graduate of Abington Heights Class of 1987 and also graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Scranton and went on to Penn State University where she received two Master’s Degrees in Information Technology and Business Administration.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dr. Salvatore and Mrs. Hannah Lawrence and her paternal grandparents William G. and Annabel P. Foster.

A blessing service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, by Rev. David P. Cappelloni. Friends may call an hour prior in the funeral home from 1pm until the time of service. Interment will take place in St. Catherine’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nicki Foster Memorial Fund, c/o Molly Mangan 31 Woodland Manor Tinton Falls, NJ 07724. This fund is being setup by the Abington Heights Class of 1987 in order to establish a scholarship and to support other worthy causes that were important to Nicki.

I am saddened to hear of the death of your beautiful daughter, Nicki. I remember her as a cute little girl, full of energy & the joy of your lives. PLease know that my thoughts & prayers are with you during this very sad time.

Dr and Mrs. Foster,

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of Nicki. I am still in a state of shock over her passing. I have spent the past few days reliving the days of our youth- Nicki was such a significant part of my life. Nicki truly was a gem! I have so many fond memories. It is those memories that will live on forever in my heart. I pray you find the comfort in the memories of such a wonderful daughter and person.

Dear Foster Family,

I am deeply saddened to hear of Nicki's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Nicki several years ago. I had a most enjoyable experience with Nicki and regarded her as a truly special lady. I am blessed to have known Nicki. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Mr & Mrs Foster -

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your daughter. She was a terrific person with an infectious laugh and wonderful spirit. I worked with Nicki for a number of years and have such fond memories of our time together. Please take comfort in knowing that Nicki was extremely well liked and respected by all her peers.

I am sorry to hear of the recent loss of Nicki. I remember her as someone that easily made friends and brought laughter to the room. May you gain strength from the love of family and friends during this difficult time.

I can't explain how much you mean to me. You made me laugh and smile more than I can bear. You got me in trouble more times than we dare speak of. We were ying & yang and not because you were always tanner than me. We just blended together . . . Thank you for giving me the gift of your friendship.

Dear Elaine and Bill,
Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your beautiful daughter Nicki. We remember her as such a happy little girl playing with the neighbor children. We can't imagine how difficult this must be to loss a child. We wish we were there to comfort you at this sad time. We are visiting Jim and Mark who live in Sarasota and North Port, Fl. and will not be back until Tuesday. Please know our prayers are with you, as we hold fond memories of our time as neighbors in Clarks Green.
