Alan F. “Pee Wee” Frick, 62, a long-time resident of North Scranton, passed away in the hospice unit of Geisinger Community Medical Center on December 30, 2012, after an arduous bout with cancer.

His wife is the former Rose Marie Dombroski, originally of Dunmore. The couple celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on July 13, 2012.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Joseph and Eleanor Astolfi Frick, he was a 1970 graduate of Dunmore High School. He was a hard worker and established a life-long career in auto-body repair, recently retiring as sole proprietor of Frick Brothers Body Shop in Dickson City.

He greatly enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved to learn and encouraged curiosity in his children. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, possessing a true love of the game and coaching his son’s various baseball teams. He was also an avid collector of both sports cards and coins, enjoying flea market shopping with his wife. He had a deep appreciation for all things automotive and restored several classic automobiles. Most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren, of whom he was very proud.

He is survived by a daughter, Alanna Bright, and husband, Joe, of Scranton; a son, David Chandler, and wife, Bryanne, of Avon, Connecticut; a sister, Peg Nelson, and husband, Tom, of Olyphant; and three brothers, Frank, Robert, and Perry, all of Dunmore. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Emily Bright, Gabriel Chandler, Noah Chandler, Maggie Bright, Olivia Bright, and Lillyan Chandler, in addition to several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Kondash and the outstanding staff of Traditional Home Health and Hospice Care for their overwhelming kindness and compassion during this difficult time.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm at Carlucci Golden DeSantis Funeral Home, 318 East Drinker Street, Dunmore. A service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Rd. South Abington Twp., Pa 18411or Traditional Home Health and Hospice Care, 113 W. Drinker St., Dunmore, Pa 18512

Sorry for the passing of Pee Wee , he was a great gentile soft spoken man and friend to all , a good neighbor when he lived on Cherry St. here in Dunmore , I'll never forget him he was a good friend .

Your whole family has my sympathy upon your loss. To Bryanne and to Dave especially, I can say that although it is so very hard to lose your parents, may God comfort you with everlasting memories and with His love.
