My deepest sympathy goes out to the Caputo family on the recent passing of your father. My association with Mr. Caputo goes back to East Scranton Jr. High School where Mr. Caputo was the principal and I was a first year teacher. It is hard to describe the respect I have for this man whose guidance to a young teacher was so appreciated. Unfortunately I could not attend the funeral as my Mother in law's viewing hours and funeral were at the same time.

Dear Caputo family,
I am a daily communicant at Immaculate Conception Church in Scranton. I go to 12:10 mass and I pass the basket. I was stunned when I picked up the paper yesterday and saw that Joe passed away. He was at 12:10 mass on Friday! He was always smiling and he always put a dollar in the basket. I know in recent months a woman accompanied him. Until early this year Joe did Adoration every Friday at 2 pm. I didn't have kids at Prescott Avenue School but a woman I sit with told me what a wonderful Principal he was.
Please accept my very sincerely sympathy. I will truly miss seeing Joe at 12:10 mass. It won't be the same.
