Ruth Corona Bideganeta of Dunmore went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Born in Scranton on January 15, 1940, Ruth was the daughter of the late Rev. Michael M. and Anna Carchilla Corona.

Ruth graduated from Dunmore High School in 1957 and was employed for 50 years at Herff Jones of Scranton. For many years, Ruth was a member of the Green Ridge Assembly of God in Scranton. She was involved with Children's Ministries and played the Organ.

Ruth is survived by her sister, Frances Corona Andrews of Cedarville, OH; nephews Michael Andrews of California, and Martin Andrews, his wife Carly, and their daughter Beatrice, all of New Mexico; Aunt Catherine Carchilla of North Carolina and Aunt Marie Carchilla of PA; Uncle Dominick Bonomo of Florida; and also several cousins.

The family would like to thank Joseph and Arlene Finan and Senior Pastor David Twiss of the Green Ridge Assembly of God of Scranton, in addition to Clarks Summit Senior Living and V.N.A. Hospice of Scranton for their compassionate care of Ruth.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Green Ridge Assembly of God, 825 Green Ridge St., Scranton by Senior Pastor David Twiss. Visitation for family and friends will be from 3-4 p.m. in the church with the funeral service immediately following.

Entombment will be held at the convenience of the immediate family at the Italian-American Cemetery Mausoleum in the Minooka section of Scranton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Green Ridge Assembly of God, 825 Green Ridge St., Scranton, 18509; or to V.N.A. Hospice of Lackawanna County, 301 Delaware Ave., Olyphant, 18447.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Ruth. My memories of her are great ones, and I know she is in a better place. May God grant you all peace in your time of sorrow. May She Rest In Peace

Very sorry about Ruthie passing. She was a wonderful & caring person. She will be missed. Wish she could have been with us longer. May she Rest in Piece.

I regret that I will not be able to attend Ruthie's funeral service & celebration of her life. She was a treasured friend & will surely be missed. My thoughts & prayers are with all of you. My condolences to Ruth's family. My time at Green Ridge Assembly was enriched by Ruth's wonderful attitude, warm and friendly. I know she is rejoicing with the angels.
