My dad, Rupert Bowen, use to work with Sam at Oppenheims many years ago, and I know my dad thought very highly of him. Dad is at the Gino Merli Center now, but I know he would want me to extend his condolences to you.

I have only good memories of "Uncle Sammy" and all the many visits to Uncle Sammy and Aunt Shirley over the years! I am glad that he is not suffering any more and it is good to now be left with all the good memories! He had great traits such as his sense of humor, kindness, love of family and friends, and caring. Sounds like a great combination of qualities! My mother's favorite Uncle!!!
